Our hotel embraces, with respect, every aspect of Tinos Island to its six restored, private, self-catering guest houses, in the traditional village of Tripotamos, offering the unique experience of the authentic island life in Tinos’ countryside. Our goal is to give you the pleasure of spending your vacation in the tranquil and one-of-a-kind traditional ambiance of the village of Tripotamos; and of returning home wrapped in the coziness of actually having lived “the life local” in “your own home” at a village of the Cyclades island cluster!

During the 10 years of operation of the Crossroads Inn, the hygiene and safety of your accommodation has always been our top priority. We would like you to know that today, in the light of the ongoing situation of COVID-19, with great respect and responsibility, we focus, more than ever and even more diligently, on the health, safety and wellbeing of all our guests and employees, without overlooking the quality of your experience during your stay with us. Please know that relaxation is spread out in the good care we take of you, the ambience and the atmosphere that our Hotel, as well as its location transmits!

Crossroads Inn has received the special certification "Health First" from the Hotel Chamber of Greece as in the pre-existing strict principles of operation of our hotel, we integrated and we apply all the health protocols of the Ministry of Health’s and every guideline on extra cleaning and disinfection according to the National Public Health Organization (EODY), in every area of our property. Respecting our guests, our employees and the local community, we keep monitoring the situation closely and we are always ready to implement any additional health and safety measures that may be considered as necessary. We are always aware and ready to help you in any case!

The hotel’s Health Officer is certified by 3 different accredited educational organizations (Training & Lifelong Learning Center of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Vocational Training Center George Gennimatas SA - Education, Training & Information Actions for the Region of South Aegean, Training Webinar by the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce) and remains always at your disposal on a 24-hour basis to provide you with any information or assistance you may need. Our staff is also properly trained and strictly follows all COVID-19 protection measures. It is supplied with all the necessary personal protection equipment and its thermal measurement is performed daily. In any case, we always recommend keeping safety distances.

A brief description of the modifications and additional measures we are taking from the current period at Crossroads Inn, following the adoption of increased hygiene and safety measures in all areas of our hotel for protection against COVID-19, is as follows:

Check-in & Check-out

The reception staff is supplied with all the necessary personal protection equipment, although a special polycarbonate separator and antiseptic liquid have been placed at the reception area. The reception area is cleaned and disinfected daily and the keys of the rooms are disinfected before receipt and upon delivery, in a container with an approved antiseptic liquid.

The official check-in time is after 15:00 and takes place at the reception area, with an exclusive appointment upon arrangement. We would like to inform you that, during the check-in, the personal data of all of the guests staying in the room are filled in and a file is kept for reasons of protection of public health. In addition, non-residents are not allowed in the room, even if they are family or friends.

The official check-out time is until 11:00 and takes place at the reception area, with an exclusive appointment upon arrangement. Please note that it is not possible to extend the check-out time, in order to ensure the necessary time for meticulous cleaning, effective disinfection and proper natural ventilation of the room.

Room stay and cleanliness

The rooms of Crossroads Inn are independent and autonomous as they are private, self-catering traditional guesthouses, located in different neighborhoods of the village, which facilitates the observance of the necessary distances and ensuring your personal safety.

The cleaning staff is supplied with all the necessary personal protection equipment and takes care on a daily basis for the ventilation of your living space, its basic hygiene care (garbage removal, etc., without involving a thorough cleaning of the room) and the supplementation of the necessary basic needs (ex. bottled water, etc.). Bed linen and towels are changed every third day of your stay, following all the required hygiene and safety protocols. If you wish you wish a more frequent change of your bed linen and/or towels, you can inform the reception staff and we will take care of it. We would like to inform you that the cleaning staff cannot enter the room while you are inside it.

Our hotel rooms have only ceiling fans to use instead of air conditioning in your living and sleeping quarters, which provide all the cooling you need. In their task, the ceiling fans are assisted by the small northern openings which help in airing the accommodations naturally, ensuring the hygiene of the room and your personal safety. In addition, all the windows have screens so you can keep them open 24 hours a day.

Every used bed linen and towels are always washed in a hot cycle of 60°C with appropriate detergents. Pike blankets and mattress covers are also washed in a hot cycle of 60°C with appropriate detergents after every departure.

Kindly be informed that after every departure, the rooms are thoroughly cleaned, carefully disinfected with suitable cleaners for each surface and then with a steam cleaner (temperature >70°C).

All fabric surfaces, as well as the pillows and mattresses of each bed are disinfected after every departure with a steam cleaner (temperature >70°C).

The remote controls have a disposable cover, which is changed after every departure.

We would like to inform you that, for reasons of hygiene and safety, all the decorative elements of the room have been removed, with the exception of some works of art (ex. paintings), which we recommend that you do not touch.

Breakfast basket and other benefits

The complimentary "breakfast basket" and all household utensils have been removed from the room for hygiene and safety reasons. Before your arrival, you will be notified by email about all the items included in the "breakfast basket", as well as all the household utensils, in order to choose which of them you will need during your stay.

Toiletries and other amenities

In your room, you will find the toiletries that we offer you: shampoo, hair cream, shower gel and hand soap, which are handmade, only from natural ingredients such as herbs and flowers, from the Greek nature, as well as sponges and slippers. In addition, we offer you tissues for the duration of your stay.

The complimentary pharmacy and the "pharmacy of nature" have been removed from the room for hygiene and safety reasons. Before your arrival, you will be notified by email about all the items included in, in order to choose which of them you will need during your stay.

All the above mentioned protocols and measures of hygiene and safety are applied according to the current guidelines of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) and are renewed whenever necessary. Before your arrival, you will receive an email with detailed information regarding our hotel operation process and in your room you will find information material with all the necessary health instructions.
