The Olde Distillery took its name from the use the building had in the old times when it served as the space where grapes were stomped in a wine press and their juices were then distilled (within the same building) to produce Tinos’ celebrated traditional alcoholic drink: raki. The old spring, at the entrance of this stone-built accommodation of our countryside boutique hotel, supplied the water that the distillation process necessitated.
The Olde Distillery [Paleo Rakizio/Paleó Rakizió] (57 m2) is a two-storey building, a traditional style maisonette. Its ground floor comprises a sitting room complete with fireplace, a dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a small, guest WC, and an open air, Cycladic courtyard (9 m2). The sitting room on the lower floor has a sofa/bed which can accommodate two additional guests (single beds). On the upper floor, there are a bedroom with a double bed, and two bedrooms, each with a single bed, and a bathroom with a shower and the necessary accessories and toiletries. There is also a veranda (12 m2) overlooking the Aegean Sea, the island of Delos, and the Monastery of Aghia Pelagia.
